Founded in 2011 in Switzerland, Watoto Wa Baraka is a non-profit association committed to supporting orphaned children in Nairobi. It interacts with the neediest realities of the Kenyan capital and, through fundraising initiatives, it promotes numerous projects in the area.
The purchase of goods of primary need for the most disadvantaged families, the construction of a well, a primary school and a dormitory are some examples of the activities financed by the association thanks to contributions from organizations such as Valeur Foundation.
Education is the pillar on which Watoto Wa Baraka’s mission is based and is considered the best tool for making significant changes in children’s lives. This is why the association supports distance adoption, a way to concretely improve the growth and training of children. Thanks to the commitment of Watoto Wa Baraka, today over 30 children and young people have the opportunity to undertake a training course.
